*Job Description - BACKEND DEVELOPER*
*KEY RESPONSIBILITIES*
- Design, build, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs
- Work with databases — design schemas, write queries, and optimise performance
- Integrate third-party APIs and services as required
- Debug, test, and resolve backend issues and performance bottlenecks
- Document code and maintain technical specifications
* Develop secure, scalable, and high-performance backend systems
* Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms (JWT/OAuth)
* Collaborate with frontend developers for API integration
* Monitor server performance and ensure application reliability
* Maintain clean, reusable, and well-structured backend architecture
*REQUIRED SKILLS*
- Proficiency in any one backend language — Python, Node.js, PHP, or Java
- Basic knowledge of databases — MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB
- Understanding of REST API design principles
- Familiarity with Git and basic command-line tools
- Logical thinking and problem-solving ability
* Understanding of authentication, sessions, and security best practices
* Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman
* Knowledge of asynchronous programming and error handling
* Understanding of CRUD operations and database relationships
* Basic knowledge of server deployment and environment configuration
* Strong experience with Node.js and Express.js
* Experience working with MongoDB/Mongoose or SQL-based databases
* Good in Data Structure and Algorithm
*GOOD TO HAVE*
- Exposure to any backend framework — Django, Express.js, Laravel, or Spring Boot
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Internship or academic project experience in backend development
* Knowledge of Docker and container-based deployment
* Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and version control workflows
* Experience with payment gateway or third-party API integration
* Understanding of caching and performance optimisation
